Pildammsparken is Malmö's largest park, laid out for the 1914 Baltic Exhibition. Its 17 hectares include a rose garden, a tallskog (old-growth pine forest), a large ornamental lake, and the open-air Margaret Pavilion.
Folkets Park in Malmö, established in 1891, is the world's oldest "people's park" — a Swedish concept designed to provide free recreation for the working class. Today it features event stages, a playground, mini-golf, and a reptile house.
