Kungsparken

Overview

Kungsparken (King's Park) is Malmö's oldest park, designed in 1869 in the English landscape style with winding paths, canals, and mature trees. It wraps around the castle moat and connects seamlessly to Slottsparken.

History

The park was designed by Danish landscape architect Christian Müller as part of Malmö's 19th-century urban beautification. It replaced the military glacis around the castle and quickly became the city's fashionable promenade.
