Oia is a picture-perfect village perched on the northern rim of the Santorini caldera, famous worldwide for its blue-domed churches, whitewashed cave houses, and labyrinthine marble-paved streets. It is the most photographed settlement on the island and a UNESCO candidate site.

Fira (Thira) is the vibrant capital of Santorini, built along the edge of the caldera at an elevation of 260 meters above sea level. The town combines a lively commercial center with dramatic volcanic scenery, offering a mix of shopping, dining, nightlife, and spectacular caldera views.

Imerovigli is the highest village on the Santorini caldera rim, sitting at 300 meters above sea level and earning its nickname as the "Balcony to the Aegean." Quieter and more elegant than Fira and Oia, it offers arguably the best caldera views on the island combined with a serene, unhurried atmosphere.

Pyrgos Kallistis is a medieval hilltop village at the geographic center of Santorini, crowned by the ruins of a Venetian kasteli (castle). Its concentric streets spiral upward around the fortified hill, creating a labyrinthine layout that predates the tourist era and offers some of the widest panoramic views of the entire island.

Emporio is a medieval fortified village in southern Santorini, centered around a remarkably well-preserved goulas (tower fortress) with a maze-like layout designed to confuse pirate invaders. It is one of the five kastelia (castle villages) of Santorini and offers an authentic glimpse into the island's defensive medieval architecture.

Megalochori is one of Santorini's most authentically preserved traditional villages, tucked away from the caldera rim in the island's wine-producing heartland. Its neoclassical mansions, underground wine cellars (canavas), and peaceful piazza offer a glimpse of pre-tourism Santorini.

Firostefani is a tranquil village perched on the caldera rim between Fira and Imerovigli, best known as the home of the Three Bells of Fira — the iconic blue-domed church that has become Santorini's most reproduced image. Despite its fame, the village maintains a quieter, more residential atmosphere than its neighbors.
