Tramway is Glasgow's leading international contemporary arts venue, occupying a converted former tram depot in the south side. It hosts visual art, theatre, dance, and music events, and is known for its ambitious programming.

The Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) is Glasgow's principal contemporary art gallery, occupying a neoclassical building on Royal Exchange Square. The equestrian statue of the Duke of Wellington at the entrance, perpetually adorned with a traffic cone, has become an unofficial symbol of Glasgow.

The Lighthouse is Scotland's Centre for Design and Architecture, housed in Charles Rennie Mackintosh's first public building — the former Glasgow Herald newspaper offices. The building includes a Mackintosh interpretation centre and a rooftop viewing platform.
