Tramway is Glasgow's leading international contemporary arts venue, occupying a converted former tram depot in the south side. It hosts visual art, theatre, dance, and music events, and is known for its ambitious programming.
Built as a tram depot in 1893, the building was converted for Peter Brook's landmark production of The Mahabharata during Glasgow's tenure as European City of Culture in 1990. It has since become one of Scotland's most important contemporary arts spaces.
