Centennial Park is Nashville's premier urban green space, a 132-acre public park in the West End that hosts the full-scale Parthenon replica, a one-mile walking trail around Lake Watauga, and open lawns used for festivals, concerts, and pickup games.
The park was the site of Tennessee's 1897 Centennial Exposition, which attracted 1.8 million visitors over six months. After the expo closed, the city retained the grounds as a public park, with the Parthenon rebuilt in permanent materials by 1931.
