Civic Center Park is a 12-acre urban park in the heart of Denver's government and cultural district, flanked by the State Capitol, Denver Art Museum, and City & County Building. It serves as the city's premier civic gathering space.
The park was established in 1904 as part of Denver's City Beautiful plan. Designed by Charles Mulford Robinson and Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., it was inspired by the great civic plazas of Europe. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 2012.
