The Pennybacker Bridge Overlook, also known locally as the 360 Bridge Overlook, offers sweeping views of the iconic copper-colored arch bridge spanning Lake Austin. The short trail to the overlook is one of the most popular sunset spots in the city.
The Percy V. Pennybacker Jr. Bridge opened in 1982 and was the first bridge of its kind built in Texas. Its distinctive rust-colored hue comes from weathering steel that forms a protective patina, eliminating the need for paint.
