Playa Chac Mool is a popular mid-Hotel Zone beach named after the reclining Maya rain-god figure. Known for its consistent waves and white sand, it sits near several major resorts and the commercial Kukulcán Boulevard corridor.
Like all Mexican beaches, Chac Mool is federally mandated public property. Its name references the distinctive reclining stone figure found at numerous Maya and Toltec archaeological sites across Mexico.
