Named after the Maya archaeological site in the Puuc hills, Kabah Park is a 40-hectare urban ecological reserve in the heart of residential Cancún. Elevated wooden walkways wind through native vegetation, and wild coatimundis frequently appear along the trails.
Designated as a protected urban reserve in 1998, Kabah Park preserves one of the last fragments of natural lowland forest within Cancún's city limits. Conservation programs have successfully reintroduced native bird species.
