Overview
A pedal-powered rail-bike experience on retired railway tracks along Yeongjong Island's southern coast. Riders pump a four-seat rail car through tunnels and along clifftop stretches with Yellow Sea views.
Highlights
- Coastal tunnels: Several short tunnels are illuminated with coloured lights and sound effects.
- Airport views: Part of the route parallels the airport runway, offering close-up plane-spotting.
- Seaside cliffs: The final section hugs low sea cliffs with views of the tidal flats and fishing boats.
History
Converted from an abandoned freight-rail spur in 2018, the sea rail was designed to boost tourism on Yeongjong Island beyond the airport transit corridor.
