ION Sky is a free observation gallery on the 56th floor of ION Orchard — Singapore's premier luxury shopping mall on Orchard Road. The 218-metre-high vantage point offers 360° views of the central skyline, Sentosa, and the Indonesian islands beyond through floor-to-ceiling glass panels.

History

ION Orchard opened in 2009, designed by Benoy architects. The 56th-floor gallery was conceived as a public amenity and marketing feature, giving shoppers and tourists a reason to ascend past the retail floors.

Visitor Tips

• Register at the Level 4 concierge: You need a pass to access the lift; bring an ID.
• Afternoon light is best: The west-facing windows catch the best light in the late afternoon.
• Duration: 20–30 minutes.
