Overview
Worli Seaface is a 3 km coastal promenade along the Arabian Sea in central Mumbai, offering dramatic views of the Bandra-Worli Sea Link, particularly stunning at sunset when the cable-stayed bridge frames the western sky.
Highlights
- Sea Link Sunset: The Bandra-Worli Sea Link appears to stretch into the setting sun from this vantage point.
- Jogger's Park: A stretch where Mumbai's runners pound the pavement at dawn and dusk.
- Monsoon Drama: During July–September, waves crash over the sea wall — spectacular (and dangerous).
History
The Worli seaface road was built on reclaimed land in the 1960s and 1970s, creating one of Mumbai's first planned waterfront promenades. The opening of the Sea Link in 2009 transformed the views.
Visitor Tips
- Sunset is unmissable: The Sea Link photographs best from here at golden hour.
- Stay away from the edge during monsoon: Waves can sweep over the barrier.
- Duration: 20–30 minutes.
