The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) is India's premier multi-venue performing arts complex, perched on Nariman Point's waterfront. Its five venues host Western classical music, Indian classical recitals, theatre, dance, and jazz across over 600 events annually.
Founded in 1969 by J.R.D. Tata and Dr. Jamshed Bhabha, the NCPA was conceived as India's answer to Lincoln Center. Its Brutalist campus on the southern tip of Nariman Point was completed in 1981.
