Lipu Yinzi Rock Cave

Overview

Yinzi (Silver) Cave is a spectacular show cave in Lipu county featuring massive stalagmites, stalactites, and underground waterfalls illuminated with coloured lights across three levels spanning 2 km.

Highlights

• Silver columns: Towering white calcite columns that give the cave its name.
• Underground waterfall: A 9 m cascade inside the lower level.
• Mud bath: Natural mineral mud pool available at the exit.

History

Discovered in 1979 and opened to visitors in 1999; the cave system is estimated to be 3 million years old.
