Guilin Lijiang Folk Customs Centre

Overview

This ethnographic museum introduces the customs, textiles, and ritual life of the Zhuang, Yao, Miao, and Dong minorities who inhabit the Li River corridor — one of China's most culturally diverse regions.

• Textile gallery: Hand-woven brocade and batik from Zhuang artisans.

History

Founded in 1988 to document and preserve the folk customs of Guangxi's 12 officially recognised ethnic groups.
