History
According to local chronicles, after the death of the provincial governor in 1785, his wife Chan (later titled Thao Thep Krasattri) and her sister Mook (Thao Sri Sunthon) disguised women as male soldiers and organised a month-long defence that repelled the Burmese. The monument was erected in 1966.
