Pratumnak Hill is a leafy residential area perched between central Pattaya and Jomtien Beach. Its elevated position provides ocean views and a quieter, more upscale atmosphere than the busy beach strips below. Several luxury resorts and expatriate communities are based here.

History

Pratumnak Hill was traditionally government land, home to a naval communications base. As Pattaya expanded in the 1990s, parts of the hill were opened to private development, attracting upscale hotels and condominiums.

• Steep roads: A motorbike or taxi is recommended; walking uphill in the heat is challenging.
• Sunset drinks: Several rooftop bars offer exceptional sunset views.
