Overview
Khao Phra Tamnak Park is a forested hilltop green space occupying the ridge between Pattaya and Jomtien beaches. Shaded walking trails wind through tropical canopy, linking the Pattaya Viewpoint, Wat Phra Yai, and Wat Khao Phra Bat in a single elevated circuit.
Highlights
- Walking trails: A network of paved and unpaved paths through tropical forest, with ocean glimpses between the trees.
- Bird life: The canopy attracts sunbirds, bulbuls, and occasional hornbills.
- Exercise stations: Pull-up bars and stretching areas are scattered along the paths.
History
The hill has served as public parkland since the 1990s. The Thai Navy, which maintains a base on the hill, manages the grounds and keeps the trails clear.
