The Chiang Mai Night Bazaar stretches along Chang Khlan Road and is the city's most famous evening market. Operating every night from dusk, it offers hundreds of stalls selling handicrafts, clothing, souvenirs, and street food in a vibrant, bustling atmosphere.

History

The bazaar traces its origins to the Yunnanese trading caravans that stopped along this route. In the 1960s, vendors began setting up permanent evening stalls, and by the 1980s the Night Bazaar had become Chiang Mai's most popular tourist attraction.

• Bargaining: Haggling is expected—start at about 40–50 % of the asking price.
• Skip Sundays: If the Sunday Walking Street is on, the Night Bazaar is quieter and easier to browse.
