The Four Denominations District (Dzielnica Czterech Świątyń) is a unique area where a Roman Catholic church, a Lutheran church, an Orthodox cathedral, and a synagogue stand within a few hundred meters of each other — a symbol of Wrocław's multicultural heritage.
The proximity of these four houses of worship reflects Wrocław's centuries-long tradition of religious coexistence. The district was formally recognized and named in 2005 as a symbol of tolerance.
