Onsen Hot Pools is a luxury geothermally inspired bathing experience set on a cliff edge above the Shotover River gorge in Arthurs Point. Private cedar-lined hot tubs offer views of the river canyon and surrounding mountains.

History
Inspired by Japanese onsen culture, Onsen Hot Pools opened in 2007. The architecture — using local schist stone and New Zealand cedar — was designed to blend with the natural cliff setting while maximising the canyon views.

- Sunset Session: The sunset time slot is the most popular — book at least a week in advance during peak season.
- Towels Provided: Everything is provided including towels, robes, and cold drinking water.
