Overview
Pottery Square is an open plaza in Bhaktapur where potters have shaped clay using traditional hand-spinning techniques for generations. Hundreds of clay pots and figurines are laid out to dry in the sun.

History
Pottery has been made in this square for over 800 years. The Prajapati community has maintained the trade through generations using clay from the Hanumante River.
