Temurun Waterfall is Langkawi's tallest cascade at approximately 200 metres, a three-tiered fall plunging through pristine rainforest near Datai Bay on the island's northern coast. The lowest tier forms a natural pool deep enough for swimming.
Temurun is one of only three seasonal waterfalls on Langkawi, flowing strongest during and just after the monsoon season (September–March). The falls are part of the Machinchang Cambrian Geoforest Park, flowing over rocks that are among the oldest exposed geological formations in Southeast Asia.
