Petrusse Valley Park is a lush river-valley green space that runs below the old town and beneath the Adolphe Bridge. Once part of the fortress moat system, the reclaimed gorge is now a peaceful walking trail lined with mature trees.
The valley was cleared of military installations after the 1867 treaty and landscaped into a public park by the 1870s. Ongoing restoration keeps invasive species in check and maintains footbridges.
