Seopjikoji is a scenic coastal promontory on Jeju's eastern coast, offering sweeping views of Seongsan Ilchulbong across the water. The headland features volcanic cliffs, wild rapeseed flower fields (brilliant yellow in spring), and a distinctive lighthouse. It gained nationwide fame as a filming location for K-dramas.
The name Seopjikoji means 'a cape at the narrow entrance' in Jeju dialect. The area was traditionally used for grazing horses and remained relatively unknown until Korean dramas filmed here in the early 2000s, catapulting it to fame as a romantic destination.
