The SOSORO Museum, housed in a striking modern building on the grounds of the National Bank of Cambodia, traces the country's monetary history from the ancient Funan kingdom through the Angkor empire to the present day. Its interactive displays and multimedia installations make it one of Phnom Penh's most engaging museums.
Opened in 2019 by the National Bank of Cambodia, SOSORO ("wealth" in Khmer) was designed to educate the public about Cambodia's economic heritage. The modern building was purpose-built with Japanese architectural assistance.
