Rabindra Sarobar is a tranquil urban lake and park in South Kolkata, spread over 192 acres. Named after Rabindranath Tagore, it serves as a green sanctuary for morning walkers, rowers, and birdwatchers.
Developed in the 1920s as a man-made lake, the sarobar was named after Tagore in 1958. It was declared a "No Vehicle Zone" to protect its ecological diversity.
