The Birla Industrial & Technological Museum is one of India's premier science museums, established in 1959 by the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research. It occupies a historic mansion on Gurusaday Road.

History
Set up in the former residence of the Birla family, the museum was inaugurated by Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. It was modeled on London's Science Museum and has expanded with numerous interactive galleries over the decades.
