Vagator Beach

Overview

Vagator Beach sits below Chapora Fort, consisting of Big Vagator and Little (Ozran) Vagator separated by a headland. Renowned for dramatic red-laterite cliffs, the carved Shiva face sculpture, and its trance music heritage.

History

A centre of the Goa trance movement in the 1990s with legendary outdoor parties at Disco Valley. While large-scale parties have declined, the area retains a bohemian character.
