Overview
The elevated grounds surrounding the Qutub Minar complex offer clear sightlines of the 72.5-metre tower against the sky, as well as the surrounding archaeological ruins and the iron pillar.
Highlights
- Framing the Tower: Unobstructed views from the lawns allow classic full-height photographs of the minaret.
- Sunset Light: Late-afternoon golden light on the red sandstone creates dramatic contrast.
- Archaeological Panorama: Views of the Alai Darwaza and the unfinished Alai Minar.
History
The viewing grounds were developed as part of the ASI's preservation of the Qutub complex. The surrounding parkland was landscaped to preserve sightlines of the UNESCO monument.
