Overview
Cubbon Park is a 300-acre green lung in the center of Bengaluru, established in 1870 during British rule. With bamboo groves, flowering trees, and heritage buildings scattered throughout, it serves as the city's primary breathing space.

History
Originally named Meade's Park after acting commissioner Sir John Meade, it was renamed after Sir Mark Cubbon, the British Commissioner of Mysore. The park has expanded from its original 100 acres to its current 300 acres over a century and a half.

- Closed Mondays: The park is closed to motor vehicles every Sunday and public holidays.
