Spot Riyadi is a popular elevated viewpoint on the southern slopes of Mount Merapi, offering expansive views of the active volcano's smoking cone above and the Yogyakarta plain below. On clear mornings, five volcanoes are visible on the horizon.
The viewpoint is named after Riyadi, a local farmer who maintained the trail and cleared the viewing area. As Merapi tourism grew after the 2010 eruption, the site became a designated scenic point, with the local community managing access and facilities.
