Overview
Jakarta Cathedral is a neo-Gothic Roman Catholic cathedral completed in 1901, located in the heart of the city opposite Istiqlal Mosque. It serves as the seat of the Archbishop of Jakarta.

History
The first church on this site was built in 1829 but collapsed in 1880. The current structure, designed by Antonius Dijkmans and completed by Cuypers, was inaugurated on 21 April 1901.
