Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) is Indonesia's national stadium, a 77,000-seat venue that hosted the 1962 Asian Games and was renovated for the 2018 Asian Games. The surrounding sports complex is Jakarta's largest outdoor recreation area.
Built with Soviet assistance and opened in 1962, the stadium was renamed after Indonesia's founding president Sukarno. A major renovation in 2016–2018 modernised the facility.
