Luxun Park is a tranquil green space in Hongkou dedicated to Lu Xun (1881–1936), widely regarded as the founder of modern Chinese literature. The park contains his tomb, a memorial hall, and tree-shaded paths favored by elderly residents practicing tai chi and Chinese opera.
The park was originally established in 1896 as Hongkou Park by the Shanghai Municipal Council. It was renamed in 1988 to honor Lu Xun, who spent the last decade of his life in the surrounding neighborhood.
