Longhua Martyrs Cemetery is a solemn, landscaped memorial park honoring the revolutionaries executed at the adjacent Longhua Garrison during the 1920s and 1930s. Its combination of lush gardens, memorial sculptures, and reflective spaces makes it both a park and a pilgrimage site.
The Kuomintang used the Longhua Garrison as an execution ground for communists and dissidents between 1927 and 1937. After 1949, the site was transformed into a memorial park, formally dedicated in 1995.
