Chengdu's Fenghuangshan Sports Park is a modern multi-venue complex built for the 2023 FISU World University Games. The 60,000-seat main stadium features a dramatic undulating roof inspired by the mythical phoenix.

History

Built for the 31st FISU World University Games held in Chengdu in 2023, the sports park was designed by GMP Architects. The phoenix motif pays homage to the Phoenix Hill on which the complex stands and the golden phoenix found at the Jinsha Site.
