The National Art Gallery of Albania (Galeria Kombëtare e Arteve) is the country's foremost art institution, housed on the southern edge of Skanderbeg Square. Its collection spans Byzantine icons, Ottoman-era paintings, socialist realism, and contemporary Albanian art.
Founded in 1954, the gallery initially served as a showcase for socialist realist art. After 1991, its collection expanded to include previously banned works and private donations. The building was renovated in 2020.
