Liseberg is Scandinavia's largest amusement park, nestled in the heart of Gothenburg since 1923. Built for the city's 300th anniversary, the park combines world-class roller coasters — including the wooden Balder and the inverted Helix — with beautifully landscaped gardens, rabbit enclosures, and seasonal events that draw over three million visitors annually.
Liseberg was inaugurated on 8 May 1923 as part of the Gothenburg Exhibition marking the city's tercentenary. Over a century later it remains family-owned by the City of Gothenburg and is the most visited amusement park in Scandinavia, having steadily added world-class rides while preserving its heritage gardens and green charm.
