Kunstinstituut Melly (formerly Witte de With Center for Contemporary Art) is a contemporary art institution presenting exhibitions, research, and public programming. It focuses on experimental and socially engaged art from around the world.
Founded in 1990 and renamed Kunstinstituut Melly in 2021 after artist Melly Shum, referencing a 1990 Ken Lum artwork "Melly Shum Hates Her Job" displayed on the building's façade. The name change also addressed the colonial associations of the original name.
