Modiano Market is Thessaloniki's grand covered market, a cross-shaped hall built in 1922 on the site of a Jewish neighborhood destroyed in the 1917 fire. Recently renovated, it blends its historic market function with modern food halls and cultural spaces.
Designed by architect Eli Modiano (from whom it takes its name) and built in 1922, the market was part of Hébrard's post-fire reconstruction. A major renovation completed in 2023 preserved its character while modernizing the facilities.
