Plečnik House

Overview

Plečnik House (Plečnikova hiša) is the preserved home and studio where architect Jože Plečnik lived from 1921 until his death in 1957. It offers an intimate look at the personal life and creative process of the man who shaped modern Ljubljana.

History

Plečnik moved to this modest house in the Trnovo neighborhood in 1921 when he returned to Ljubljana from Prague. He lived and worked here for 36 years, designing many of the city's most iconic public spaces.
