Parnell Rose Gardens

Overview

The Parnell Rose Gardens occupy a terraced hillside above Judge's Bay, offering formal rose beds and panoramic harbour views. With over 5,000 rose bushes, the gardens are at their spectacular best from November to March.

History

Established in 1913, the gardens were developed by the Auckland City Council on land overlooking Judge's Bay. They have been continually maintained and expanded and are now one of the Southern Hemisphere's finest rose collections.
