The National Museum of Ceramics occupies the Marqués de Dos Aguas Palace, whose extravagant alabaster portal is one of Spain's most exuberant Rococo works. Inside, the collection traces 2,000 years of Spanish ceramics.
The palace dates from the 15th century, with the famous facade added in 1740. The ceramics museum opened in 1947.
