History

Developed from 2010 on the site of a former iron foundry (Vulkan was the foundry's name). It was designed as a model for sustainable urban development.

Visitor Tips

• River Walk: Use Vulkan as a stop on the Akerselva river walk between Grünerløkka and Bjørvika.
• Duration: 30–45 minutes.
