Activities in Naha

Ryukyu Glass Village (琉球ガラス村) in Itoman is a working glassblowing factory and workshop where visitors can watch artisans craft colorful Ryukyu glass and try blowing their own piece. The on-site gallery sells finished pieces at factory prices.

The Kerama Islands (慶良間諸島) are a national park archipelago 30 km west of Naha, celebrated for some of the clearest water in the world — visibility regularly exceeds 50 meters. Day-trip boats depart from Naha's Tomari Port and reach the islands in 35–50 minutes.

Shisa-making workshops around Kokusai Street offer a hands-on way to engage with one of Okinawa's most beloved cultural icons. Visitors paint or sculpt their own shisa — the lion-dog guardians that sit atop every Okinawan rooftop.
