Spiaggia Grande is Positano's main beach, a wide crescent of dark volcanic sand and pebbles at the foot of the village with the vertical cascade of pastel houses above.

Marina Grande is the main public beach of Amalfi, a pebbly crescent stretching along the waterfront at the foot of the town. Colourful fishing boats, sun loungers, and beachside kiosks line the shore.
Fornillo Beach is Positano's quieter alternative, a smaller cove of grey pebbles reached by a scenic five-minute path from Spiaggia Grande that passes a medieval tower.
Duoglio Beach is a quieter alternative to Amalfi's main beach, tucked beneath the cliffs west of town and reached by about 400 steps from the SS163 coast road.
