Galleries in Manchester

The Whitworth is an internationally renowned art gallery set in Whitworth Park. A £17 million extension in 2015 by MUMA Architects added stunning glass galleries that blur the boundary between art and landscape, winning the Art Fund Museum of the Year.

HOME is Manchester's centre for international contemporary art, theatre and film. Opened in 2015, it occupies a purpose-built Tony Fretton-designed building on First Street and combines two cinemas, two theatres and five gallery spaces.

The Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art (CFCCA) is the only gallery in the UK — and one of very few outside China — dedicated entirely to Chinese contemporary art and visual culture. Located at the edge of Manchester's Chinatown.
