Antiguo is a quiet, residential neighbourhood west of La Concha, anchored by Ondarreta Beach and the Peine del Viento sculptures. It has a more local, less touristy atmosphere and is home to some of the city's best-kept dining secrets.

Gros (Gross in Basque) is the trendy district east of the Urumea River, defined by Zurriola Beach and a laid-back surf culture. It offers excellent pintxos bars, craft beer spots, and a younger, more local alternative to the Parte Vieja.

The Parte Vieja is San Sebastián's historic heart — a dense grid of narrow pedestrian streets wedged between Monte Urgull and the Boulevard. This is the epicentre of pintxos culture, where practically every doorway opens onto a bar counter loaded with skewered delicacies.
